Veronica is a visual artist based in South Dublin with a degree in Fine Arts from NCAD. Although graduating in Printmaking her current work predominantly concentrates in oils on canvas.
Drawing inspiration from the beautiful landscapes of Wexford, which has been the destination of frequent visits since childhood.
"It still manages to look different every time I'm there and I always find that it recharges my creativity. With my camera and sketchbooks, I try to capture the shapes, light and colours of the day. These paintings are a reflection of the experience and connection to this landscape. By using the texture and colours of the paint to explore and develop what I'm hoping to convey - being present and of the moment in this place. As the layers of the paintings build up they create a visual language that begins to reflect the subtle light and transitional beauty of the surrounding landscape."
