Originally from West Cork, I have been working as a figurative sculptor and ceramic artist in Dublin since 1999. I graduated from the National College of Art and Design in 1996, and returned to complete a Masters in Ceramic Sculpture in 2009. My practice has evolved from solely clay based to now a much broader interest in experimental uses of mixed media.

‘The human figure is at the core of my work, and the exploration of the female form has engaged my attention over a long period, concentrating on the embodyment of the human spirit, often expresssed through the context of the human head’

To date, I have exhibited both nationally and internationally, including the Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Fair, the National Museum of Ireland and Sculpture In Context, National Boltanical Gardens, where I was an award winner 2011, and on the board of selectees for the 2012 exhibition.

My work has been commissioned both publicly and privately, and collections include the Office of Public Works (OPW), Mason,Hayes and Curren and Limerick City Gallery, as well as numerous private collectors.

I work mainly to commission, from miniature ceramic busts to life size sculptures in clay, concrete and bronze. From corporate awards to wedding gifts.
