Aileen Johnston graduated from NCAD where she specialised in embroidery.Since then she has worked as a textile artist, illustrating children’s books and exhibiting regularly. Her work is held in private collections in Europe and America. In 2007 she won the overall RDS Award of Excellence and California Gold Medal for her embroidered Book of Hours. Aileen lives and works in County Wicklow.
